The Academy of Exceptionalities is a Christ-centered school dedicated to serving students with autism and other exceptional needs in Mohave County. As a sister school to Golden Valley Christian Academy (GVCA)—an established and trusted Christian school in the region—the Academy of Exceptionalities represents an extension of GVCA’s mission and ministry. This new school was created to support students who require additional, specialized care beyond what has previously been available within a traditional classroom setting.
Founded in partnership with the Pray First Army, the Academy of Exceptionalities marks a significant milestone as Mohave County’s first Christ-centered school specifically designed for students with autism. This vision is deeply personal to our founders. Their youngest son faced a difficult start to life, receiving diagnoses of ataxic hypotonic cerebral palsy and a genetic condition, and later being identified as autistic. Through that journey, God placed a clear calling on their hearts—to create a loving, faith-filled academic environment where exceptional learners are not only supported, but truly seen, valued, and nurtured.
At the Academy of Exceptionalities, students are immersed in prayer, grounded in biblical truth, and educated within a structured, nurturing environment that promotes growth academically, socially, and spiritually. Our goal is to help each child discover and develop the unique gifts God has placed within them, while also providing access to therapy services for students who need additional support.
We are honored to bring this vision to life and are excited to launch the Academy of Exceptionalities for the 2026–2027 school year. As we take this meaningful step forward, we invite our community to join us in prayer—for our students, our families, and the work God is preparing ahead.
